The story is a first-hand account of life in the 1970s in Atlanta, GA, a time and place where racial pressures and uneasiness often existed in the South. A young white boy from Atlanta named Chet Grimsley decides to travel to Charlotte, NC, to accept a football scholarship to play for the Golden Bulls of Johnson C. Smith (JCSU), a Historically Black University. His journals recall the inspiring, real life stories that reveals what Chet endured being a minority at JCSU and how his faith carried him though all the struggles and triumph.
